Mrs. Neetu George-Ramsaran

Mrs. Neetu George-Ramsaran worked as a Technical Patent Examiner at the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of Trinidad and Tobago for 5 years where her responsibilities included conducting substantive examination of patents, industrial designs, new plant varieties, utility certificates and integrated circuits. She was also actively involved in IPO’s public education outreach before becoming a full-time educator.

She has a genuine passion for education and has taught at the University of the West Indies and Secondary schools in Trinidad and England. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mrs. George-Ramsaran has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biology (Honours). She has attained many advanced certificates from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization in relation to Intellectual property. She is also has certificates from the Commonwealth of Learning and Athabasca University, Canada in Blended Learning and Using Open Educational Resources for Online Learning.
