Ms. Gunjan Sharma

Gunjan is an Intellectual Property (IP) Attorney with 15 years of work experience as an IP practitioner. She has worked in IP law firms in India and Trinidad representing a wide variety of clients in management of their contentious and non-contentious IP matters, worldwide trademark prosecution and practice, executing commercial and transactional agreements, licensing & franchising, cyber security laws, data protection and so on.

She has managed overall IP portfolio for Fortune 500 companies and global brands, including litigation, dispute resolution, drafting / execution of commercial contracts for corporations, pharmaceutical companies, media houses and individuals. She is currently the Managing Partner in a Caribbean based IP boutique firm.

Gunjan holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Intellectual Property, Commerce and Technology from UNH, Franklin Pierce School of Law (NH, USA) and a B.A.LL. B Degree from Vivekananda Law School, Delhi, India. She has been admitted to the Bar in India as well as Trinidad & Tobago. She is a WIPO certified Trainer for the National Intellectual Property Training Centre of Trinidad and Tobago after having undergone an intensive training facilitated by the World IP Organization, the IP Office of T&T and the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Office of the Attorney General. She completed a number of advanced courses over the two years training with the WIPO Academy’s Distance Learning Programs.

Her areas of expertise include Trademarks, IP Management and Practice, Copyrights, Traditional Knowledge, IP Enforcement and dispute resolution. Gunjan is a member of International Trademark Association and served on INTA’s Academic committee from 2019 to 2021.
