Jason K. Charles

Jason K. Charles is an Attorney-at-Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioner. He is also certified by the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago (the Board), as a Mediator in Civil Matters; and is rostered with the Dispute Resolution Centre (Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce), and Dialogue Solutions Limited. Additionally, he is one of the neutrals appointed in Trinidad and Tobago, by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), to their panel of Mediators.

Since being certified by the Board, Mr. Charles has conducted a diverse range of Mediations, inclusive of Court-Annexed Mediations for the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago. Moreover, he is a Peer Resolution Volunteer with the Children Court of Trinidad and Tobago, having completed training with them, on their restorative and rehabilitative processes. Mr. Charles has also lent his support to the ADR Programme at the Hugh Wooding Law School (HWLS), by participating as a volunteer mediator, observer, and mentor.

Prior to joining the legal fraternity, his profession for more than a decade was in the field of Information Technology (IT), where he amassed considerable knowledge of inter alia, computer hardware, software, and networks. Currently, he serves on the IT Committee of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago (LATT).

Mr. Charles holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, a Legal Education Certificate from the Council of Legal Education (HWLS); and several professional and advanced Certificates from, WIPO, and the Computing and Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
