Ms. Laura Da’Breau

Laura Da’Breau holds a Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness Management from The University of the West Indies (UWI) and a Masters Degree in Marketing (with distinction), from the conducting innovation audits (through the Danish Technological Institute), Intellectual (through the World Intellectual Property Office). Laura has over 10 years experience having worked in sectors such as retail, distribution, manufacturing, agriculture, banking, marketing and education.

In her most previous capacity, she worked at a University, focusing on research and development in the cocoa sector. There, she contributed extensively on internationally funded projects geared toward providing a forum as well as training for the development of farmers and the value-add industry.

In Laura’s current capacity as Senior Business Development Officer, at CARIRI, she has worked on numerous projects funded by international agencies; IDB, EU, UNDP, Citi Foundation, Compete Caribbean, and more. Laura has been working with inventors, SME’s and larger business organizations. Through facilitating and coaching in the Business Hatchery Programme, conducting local and regional company diagnostics in the Innovation Gap Analysis Programme (iGap) and working with inventors in the Idea Advisory Service (IAS) to assess and test viability of their ideas for commercialisation, Laura has assisted in excess of 250+ companies and individuals.
