Ms. Dionne Mc Nicol Stephenson

Dionne has over 20 years’ experience in the Creative Industries and 15 years’ experience in the area of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law.  Her work has spanned the areas of Music, Theatre, Film, Live Performance and Live Events – in the form of performance, administration, production, legal services and policy development. She is a Creative Industries Consultant and the Chief Connector at A BigBox of Crayons – a collective showcase of and for Trinbago’s creative makers and thinkers; and an Adjunct Lecturer with the Department of Creative and Festival Arts, UWI, St. Augustine where she teaches Business Strategies for the Arts & Cultural Enterprises in the Postgraduate Arts and Cultural Enterprise Management Diploma.

A patriotic servant at heart, Dionne also serves as a Director on the Board of the Trinidad and Tobago Creative Industries Company (CreativeTT) and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (FilmTT). A lifelong learner, she is passionate about continually increasing her knowledge and appreciation of all things IP and has successfully completed several Advanced Courses and Workshops including Copyright and Related Rights for Rights Holders & Policy Makers, Patents, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, Geographical Indications, Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expression, Artificial Intelligence and Alternative Dispute Resolution, IP Management. Her mission is to demystify Intellectual Property and the Creative Industries for Teams ready for Trade.
