Ms. Ariane Ramnath

Having obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies and her training at the Hugh Wooding Law School in 1998, Ariane joined the Intellectual Property Department of Trinidad and Tobago’s oldest law firm J.D. Sellier + Co.

Passionate about Trademarks, her practice is concentrated on Trademark Filing, Prosecution and Due Diligence; Oppositions and Cancellation Proceedings; Trademark Infringement and Anti-Counterfeiting.

She has expanded her knowledge and expertise beyond the borders of Trinidad and Tobago, and handles the Trademark portfolios for many of her clients, among them Fortune 500 companies and regional conglomerates across the Caribbean and South and Central America.

Ariane is a member of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA) and is currently on the Famous and Well Known Marks Committee. She is also a member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association (IPCA). She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of the West Indies.
